Andy Henderson

Head of Athletics at Leeds Beckett University, Andy has coached Laura Weightman throughout her time in Leeds. Laura finished third at the GB Championships and seventh at the World Athletic Championships in the 5,000m. Andy also coaches Alex Bell, a sub-two minute 800m runner who came third in the British Athletics Championships in 2019. This led to a long-overdue call-up for Team GB and she repaid the faith of the selectors by winning the 800m at the Europe vs USA match in September and finishing fifth in her semi-final at the World Championships in Doha.
