Katie Levick

It’s odd to think of someone as a ‘veteran’ at just 27 but what Yorkshire cricketer Katie Levick lacks in years she more than makes up for in experience – and wickets. It’s a decade since the Sheffield-born leg spinner made her debut for Yorkshire while still at school and it’s a measure of both her skill and consistency that in 2018 she became the leading wicket taker in the history of the women’s County Championship. It was another excellent season for Katie, who captained Yorkshire for the first time, leading them to a 12-run victory over old foes Lancashire as they won six of their seven matches, finishing just three points behind Division One champions Hampshire. After a decade at the top level an England call-up must be close.
