After a phenomenal 2016, Yorkshire cricketer Jonny Bairstow carried on where he left off, starring with the bat as a regular for England in all three formats of the game. In the 4th Test against South Africa, Bairstow became the ninth England wicketkeeper to take 100 Test dismissals.
While in September, he scored an unbeaten 100 against the West Indies at Old Trafford to record his maiden century in ODI cricket. Not content with that, 10 days later Bairstow smashed an unbeaten 141 against the West Indies at The Rose Bowl, the highest score by an England batsman against the West Indies in ODIs. This winter he travels to Australia as a key member of England’s Ashes squad.
