Courtney Hill

Last year Courtney Hill took her first rugby league tackle since the age of 12. In October this year she was named Woman of Steel. The 32-year-old scored a try and two goals to help the Rhinos to their second successive Challenge Cup final victory over Castleford in July and also captained the team in their recent victory over the same opponents in the Women’s Super League Grand Final. What’s remarkable is that, untill recently, Hill had been better known as a cricketer in her native Australia. After moving to the UK to be with her fiancée, the England batswoman Lauren Winfield, Hill’s return to rugby really helped her to settle in. And after the season she’s just had, the Rhinos are delighted to have her!
